About Garland Demolition Services

Garland Demolition Services opened in 2014, when the owner bought a used excavator and took on a first job clearing a collapsed storage building near Duck Creek. Our crew has since finished more than 1,200 projects across Garland, including house demolitions, pool and slab removals, and asbestos survey and abatement coordination.

According to U.S. Census counts, Garland grew from 81,437 residents in 1970 to 246,018 in 2020, and the brick ranches and detached garages from that boom now make up most of our work. Fire damage and aging retail suites fill the rest.

Our site supervisors hold OSHA 30-hour training, and Garland Demolition Services belongs to the National Demolition Association. Before any equipment arrives, our supervisors file the demolition permit and call Texas811 to have underground utility lines marked.

Who Shows Up on Your Garland Lot

Our crew totals 11 people, with the following responsibilities:

Owner

1

Writes every estimate after 7 years on a Dallas County demolition crew

Site supervisors

3

Run the site day to day and answer the neighbors' calls

Excavator operators

4

Spend the first 90 days on sheds and detached garages before moving up to houses

Haul-off drivers

3

Keep debris moving out so piles never build up on the lot

The day before work starts, our crew hangs a door hanger with the site supervisor's cell number on each neighboring home. The water truck then wets down the lot before the first wall comes off.

Asbestos Survey and Abatement Coordination Before Garland Demolition

Garland Demolition Services coordinates the asbestos survey and any abatement before demolition starts. Our demolition experts book a DSHS-licensed consultant to survey the building before any machine touches it.

When the lab finds asbestos-containing material, they schedule a licensed abatement contractor and hold demolition until the site clears. According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, owners must file a demolition notice at least 10 working days before work starts, although the agency exempts a single private residence.

Guessing about a popcorn ceiling rarely ends well, so our demolition experts recommend a survey for any house built before 1980.

Why Every Garland Estimate Starts With a Site Visit

Our owner walks the lot before pricing any job, even a backyard shed. The conversation starts with photos you send, but we defer the final number waits our supervisors have seen the slab and the route the haul-off trucks will take.

Book a Walk-Through of Your Garland Property

Garland Demolition Services starts every job with a free walk around the property with our supervisor. The written estimate that follows names the work and the price for house demolition, pool removal, commercial teardown, or asbestos survey and abatement coordination.
